È frutto del lungo incessante lavoro del fiume Dezzo, dell’acqua e dell’abrasione degli abbondanti sedimenti trasportati durante le piene, che nel corso degli ultimi 5 milioni di anni hanno scavato queste pareti verticali per oltre ottanta metri di profondità.
A deep cut into the shell allows us to enter into the core of these mountains, the Orobic Alps, like a fantastic journey through the centre of the Earth. The gorge is the result of the unfinished work of Dezzo stream, the water flow and the gravels carried by the floods. These vertical cliffs, more than eighty meters high, have been hollowed out during the last five millions years.
